Hachiko: A Dog's Story

Again, this is another sad story that make my tear dropping. This is a true story that happened in Japan. After that, the story had been recorded as film by Lasse Hallstrom. But this time, filming took place in United State and the characters had changed but the loyalty of what Hachiko(Hachi) had presented is still remain. Hachi is the name for the dog, and his owner as Parker Wilson (Richard Gere), a college professor. The relationship between Hachi and Parker are very close, just like they can "talk" to each other. Everyday, Hachi will go to the train station and wait for his master to walk back home together.

One morning, Hachi pick up the ball and chases after his owner. Parker is surprised when he saw Hachi holding the ball in his mouth. This is because Hachi is refusal to do normal dog-like things, such as chase and retrieve a ball. Unfortunately, Parker didn't realize why Hachi does so and why her dog wants to follow him to go to the train station, actually it has a meaning behind it.

Like before, Hachi go to the station on time. But he didn't sees her master walking out from the station. He keeps waiting for his master, patiently lying in the snow. Day by day and 9 years had pasted. One night, Hachi makes his way to his usual spot, and he sees Parker walking toward him. Now they will be friend lasting forever.

It really hurt my feeling when I watched Hachi becomes weak and thin but he still remain on his usual position waits for Parker. This would be a movie that I would like to share because the faithful of the dog was unbelievable. If you is a dog lover, then you can feel the most deepest of sadness when you see how Hachi proves his loyalty to his master. I start talking to myself when I watched the scene of Hachi stay on his usual place and wait for his master, who wont be back again. No matter spring, summer, autumn or winter, he just keep on waiting. The monologue : "Stop waiting, Hachi.... Stop waiting.... Stop... waiting... "

A FILM THAT TOUCHED MY HEART SO MUCH~

Before I start writing, I had listed down all the movie titles that I would like to share on my blog. But when I am confusing about which film should I introduce to all of you, suddenly the another film that not listed in my list become the film that I want to write about on my first post. This is a Malaysian product from Liew Seng Tat. It is a nice story, find yourself a time to watch this film.

 FLOWER IN THE POCKET

Beside on the film itself, I would like to talk a little bit about the director. Because when looking at his photos, I found out that his poses is always different and unique and funny too...

The Director --- Liew Seng Tat...

BORN in 1979, the third of five siblings. He hardly said a word in the first year of his life. His mother, half suspecting that he was mute and mentally-retarded, was very relieved when he finally spoke at length on his first birthday.
"At least he's only mentally retarded," Mrs Liew recalled with a smile.

Much later, Liew graduated from the Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, majoring in 3D animation.
"Doesn't say much about the university," said his mother, raising her eyebrows.
After earning a living from it for three years in a local studio, Liew's interest in animation waned, and he turned to film. His first live action film, Bread Skin with Strawberry Jam, won the Best Short Film award at the Malaysian Video Awards in 2003. His second film, Not Cool, again won the highest accolade the following year.
When asked if she thought her son's streak of success in filmmaking is proof that he's not retarded after all, Mrs Liew merely laughed and then spat into a nearby drain.

The brief passage above is an interview from Liew Seng Tat's mother, who I think is a funny person also.
     SYNOPSIS

This is a story about Li Ahh and Li Ohm whom grow up motherless. Their father Sui is a workaholic who spends most of his time mending broken mannequins. Sui is an outsider to the two boys, the only legacy left by the woman he loved, or still loves. While he shuts himself out from the world, the two brothers grow up with all the freedom of neglected children. They roam the streets; get into fights and other trouble in school. Along the way, they adopt a stray puppy, which becomes the most important thing in their lives. When the puppy is sent away for being a nuisance, the boys are devastated. Sui is very much affected by his boys' strong emotional attachment to the puppy. For the very first time, he realize that he is still able to love and he's going to do something about it before it's too late.                                                                                                                                                                                              AWARDS

In addition, I also like the story of how was the title comes out. Actually, it is a tradition in some parts of the world to wear flowers for Mother's Day.Wearing a pink or red flower represented that your mother is still alive. Wearing a white flower symbolizes that your mother is no longer living. FITP was initially written based on this custom. The two protagonists in FITP do not know what colour of flowers they should be wearing. They grow up without knowing what it is like to have a mother at home.
When we are far away from home, we feel homesick sometimes. We miss the comfort of home but for these two boys, they hardly know what a home is all about.
After watching the film, it makes me to think about my family. I am a lucky person cause the flower in my pocket is sill red. And, now I am far from my home. Since I make the decision to continue study ay Sunway College here, I know sure I will miss home a lot.  The distance between Kuala Lumpur and Bintulu is almost  1260km if calculate by flight distance same as 1 hour and 30 minutes flight time. I wish I am a superwomen so that I can fly home every day and fly back to college in the morning. I never leave home for such a long time before. I stay at that house with my parents, sister and 2 brothers for almost 17 years already. Then, now I have to enroll in a new environment that really make me feel a bit afraid. But from here, I learn how to be strong and independent. In this case, I have to say thank you to all my friends that always be on my side and guide me when I am going wrong. Lastly, the feeling that comes out directly from my heart : I am happy to be a part of all of you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              MORE PHOTOS SHARING
